Recovery services
Infrared Sauna
Infrared light waves create heat in the body, causing you to sweat and release toxins. The radiant heat can penetrate deep below the skin producing a gentle warming inside the body. These lower temperatures allow you to tolerate a longer sauna session offering a greater therapeutic benefit. Typical sessions last 20-45 minutes and can be repeated once or twice during the day to maximise benefits. Infrared saunas leave you feeling invigorated, not depleted like conventional saunas. Great for muscle soreness and relaxtion.
Normatec Compression Boots
The Normatec recovery system helps maximise recovery for both athletes and non athletes. Normatec synergistically combines three distinct massage techniques to speed the body’s normal recovery process: pulsing compressions, gradients and distal release. Through these mechanisms, the Normatec recovery system maximises circulation throughout the body to help you feel better, train harder and recover faster.
Cold Therapy
The use of cold plunges provides a quicker recovery from muscle fatigue, decreasing pain, swelling and lactic acid build up post intense exercise. When you immerse yourself in cold water your blood vessels constrict, when you get out they dilate (or open back up). This helps the flushing process of toxins, relieving pain in muscles and joints temporarily.
Cold therapy is ideally used post heavy weight training or during the critical phase of muscle injury or soreness. Cold plunge can also provide an analgesic effect, this helps provide athletes with a sense of relief after intense training. More importantly, it functions as a component of a large recovery process that generally yields a high sense of wellbeing.
